Epic Wanderings

You ever listen to music where that long intro seeps into your head and really grabs on and shoots you off to someplace where you can imagine your life and time itself whizzing by you in bright colors? That’s the beauty of music, it paints pictures with sounds. When I listen to music I concentrate immediately on the lyrics, but the first time I hear something I have to let go and listen to the song as a whole, this is usually the best experience I have with music, where I am forced to give credit to every part of the ensemble performing. But as time goes by and as I listen more and more I start to concentrate on the writers ability to communicate their ideas and listen less to the collaborative effort to communicate that idea by the guys with drums or guitars or keyboards, now that I think on it; it seems like trying to communicate a feeling rather than an English thought sure seems more difficult to fathom. When music grabs you and makes your body move it seems like that painted picture in your head becomes your world where everything is yours and theirs all at the same time, what a beautiful thing.
